Chan S. Suh earned his PhD in Sociology at Cornell University in 2015. His academic interests include democracy and civil society, social movements, political participation, human rights, social network analysis, and statistical methods. Prior to coming to BSU, he served as a visiting assistant professor in the Department of Sociology at Cornell. He earned his MA in Sociology and BA in Economics at Yonsei University, South Korea. He spent his childhood in Chicago, Seattle, and Seoul, South Korea, and this multi-cultural experience has provided him with an inherently comparative perspective to politics and society.
